1997年にDavid（Leiah）、Phillip、そして Gunnar（Leiah）によって、Gävleborgs länのSandvikenの高校で3人は出会って音楽活動を開始。彼らは、アーティステックな志と音楽への愛情で、創造的なことを楽しんで行くためにキャンパスでパンクバンドを結成し、後にエモ・ハードコアバンドのKamaraとして、90年代後半から2000年代初頭にかけて短期のみ活動していた。当時、リリースしたのが単独の7インチとスウェーデンのJason And The ArgonautsとのSplit 7インチの2枚のみ。
KamaraにおけるDavidは、ギター&コーラスとして、Phillipの激情のスクリーモボイスと彼らの美声が織り成す楽曲は、正に斬新な展開だった。当時、Davidは、自身がメインボーカルを務めるLeiahも活動を開始していたので、その流れで短命に終わった。彼らが残した唯一の楽曲をDiscographyとしてリリースに至った。
また、ドラムのGunnarもセカンドからLeiahに参加して、今も一緒に活動している。David Lehnbergというすさまじい才能をもったアーティストの初期の作品としてもかなり貴重である。
